Staring at my favorite

14 June 2019

We just got back from a trip to the Midwest to visit family. In Milwaukee we spent an afternoon at the art museum and it's quickly become one of my favorite museums in the country. The 20th Century art collection is amazing and the majority of it was collected by one woman over the course of 30 years. She gave the museum so much art they had to add on to display it all in the 1970s. It's unbelievable and it's many of my favorites: Rothko, Diebenkorn, Hoffman, and more. If you're ever there, you should definitely take time to visit. (Photo credit G, he always catches me candidly in photos while we travel.)

An art gallery with large colorful abstract paintings on the walk. Looking through the galleries you can see a bench in the far distance with a person in a gray sweater sitting on it. On the wall is painting with a color field of black over red.
