Knitting project bag

I had a rough month last month where sewing was concerned and wasn’t feeling great about things when the month ended. I decided to spend October doing simple projects that I’ve either sewn before or that were similar to things I’ve sewn. Feeling deflated meant that I was questioning my abilities and this month I want to feel good about things, so going back to basics felt like a good idea. It’s working so far. In a couple of days I finished a new large size project bag for sweater or larger blanket projects and I’m so pleased with it.

A detail of a bag where you can see inside the bag and see a yellow leaf design with a draw string around the top.
Inside the bag with a fun yellow quilting cotton pattern to brighten things up.

Next up I’m going to be making a Scout Tee and a Square Neck Top from some stash fabric and I’m excited to be able to complete some things quickly in an afternoon. It feels good to go back to basics and also make a few simple things that I know I’ll be able to wear and use right away.

A bag with black on the top and a draw string, the middle section is a gray and black stripe and the bottom base is black. It's sitting on a table with a white wall behind it.
