The necessity of feedback
Freelancing can be a lonely life, I work in a room upstairs in my house by myself. I talk with friends via Slack and social media, and yes, even email, but I rarely see people. And even when I have project work, I may have quick status calls and they may include video, but they’re over quickly and I get stuck back into my work. It’s easy for me to start to doubt myself and wonder if I’m really doing a good job as I update clients and commit code. That’s why it’s so important for me to get feedback in some form from clients, and this week I’ve gotten that feedback and it’s made all the difference in the world. It’s kept me excited about the project, and it’s made me realize that I know more than I give myself credit for most days.
