WIP Wednesday: Sollas

29 August 2026

I've been slowly working away on this sweater for several weeks. I'm not super motivated to knit right now and have been reading a lot and been doing some planning for upcoming sewing projects. After finishing the shawl, I wanted an easy stockinette knit and cast on this lighter weight tee to scratch that itch. I've knit Rebecca Clow's patterns at this same gauge and with this same yarn before so I knew I could cast on without any prep. This is the Sollas knit in Sandnes Garn Line in the colorway After Dark. I'm doing the crew neck version and I'll do at least 3/4 sleeves, but leaning towards bracelet length, we'll see. It's been an easy project to pick up and put down and perfect for social knitting.

A partially knit sweater is lying flat on brown floorboards. It has bright neon green holders holding the stitches for the sleeves and the body is on the needles, with sloth needle stoppers on the ends. There is no collar yet and it's a dark, warm gray color.
