Seattle

28 July 2025

We spent most of last week in Seattle, getting away from the intense sun and heat of where we live to be by the water and cooler breezes. We ventured out of downtown quite a bit this time around and enjoined Alki Beach (pictured here) as well as Fremont. Of course we saw a baseball game and we did the market, but I'm not sure we'd go to Seattle in peak season again, so crowded and I think fall, with still decent weather but not as many people may be a better time to go. It was good to get away and feel those cool breezes and be away from the utterly brutal sun and heat of Southern Oregon this time of year.

A beach in the foreground, with people walking and swimming, in the middle ground a piece of land juts out and you can see buildings and housing, the distance is the Space Needle and the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood with houses going up the hill.
