FO: Pouf

I've been planning to sew this pattern for years and finally did it! It's a true scrap buster as the pouf is sewn using scrap pieces and the entire thing is stuffed with fabric scraps. Since I knew I'd be making it, I've been saving scraps in bags in various places around the house since I started sewing. Today I stuffed the pouf and I can't believe how many it took to stuff this things. This is a free pattern from Closet Core Patterns and it's an easy sew. Other than the fabric, I only bought a large invisible zipper and a mesh laundry bag for the interior to hold the scraps. My pouf uses 10oz denim I had left from a pair of Morgan Jeans, Japanese linen I had left from a pair of Palisade Pants, and some patterned canvas that I used to make a Buckthorn Tote. The pouf is about 20" in diameter across the top and stands about 11" tall. This will live in my office and be a foot rest when I use my rocker. This is a great simple pattern which I recommend if you want an ottoman or low cushion and have a lot of scraps.
