FO Friday: Buckthorn Backpack

A green back sits on a brown floor in front of sheer white curtains. In the background are three plants that are slightly out of focus. The bag has wide cream colored straps and a front pocket. The zipper is longer than the top of the bag and hangs over the side.

A few weeks ago I posted a picture of a work in progress and here is the finished product! I absolutely love this backpack. Noodlehead makes such great bag patterns and the instructions are so well done. I also really appreciate the sew-a-longs on YouTube, I’ve learned so much about how to do some small details that make a great bag. I used this almost immediately to walk into town for knit night at my local shop and it was perfect. Then I used it again last weekend to go to a local festival and parade and it was perfect for that as well. I made it for travel to be able to stash all the things while we spend a day exploring a city and I know it’ll be prefect for that. The pattern comes with a tote version as well and I can’t wait to make it.

Side note: I’m wearing Free Range Slacks and a Bedrock Tee in this picture with the backpack.

A woman stands before a door and a window and you're seeing her side view. She's wearing a navy blue scoop neck tee and red pants and on her back is a green backpack with cream webbing straps and hang loops. The woman is turned and looking at the camera and smiling, she's got blond hair with some gray in it and brown glasses.
