FO Friday

I love a good bag, G will confirm that. When I started sewing, it meant I could customize and make the exact bag I wanted and I’ve done that for project bags for knitting and small totes and for use as purses. This is a free pattern from Core Fabrics (as long as you sign up for their email). I’ve made both sizes now, having made the large version last year and this small version last weekend. It doesn’t take a lot of fabric, which is great. I used denim left from a jeans project and some quilting cotton I had in the fabric bin. It took an afternoon to sew it all together and I’m really happy with the monotone vibe of the webbing and zipper with the denim. My only modification was to use 1” webbing rather than 1.5”, for the smaller size 1.5” felt too wide to me. Side note: Noodle Head is a great resource for bag hardware, I like it better than Wawak, Anna stocks really nice zippers and hardware and lots of different webbing colors.
